Hope Diamond Gets a Setting Makeover

Hope Diamond, the most famous gemstone in the world, has a setting make over. This gorgeous gem which was donated at the Smithsonian Institution National Museum of Natural History in 1958 will be on display with its new setting.





Embracing Hope is the new setting of 45.5 Carat Blue Stone designed by jeweler Harry Winston in celebration of its 50th Anniversary of its donation to this historical museum. Over the last month, there were over 100,000 total votes for this new setting which was cast over on smithsonianchannel.com
